The Reception

We ate, laughed, and danced. It flew by like a wildwind so the pictures are the only things I have to prove that it even happened. Our reception was held in the clubhouse of Malibu West.

Rehearsal Night

Unfortunatly, not everyone can go to the wedding rehearsal and dinner. Mom and dad Cannon threw us a beautiful dinner at a restaurant in Aguora Hills. Here are a few candid shots from that night.

I Didn't Even Get Wet

I always wondered why it is called a "Bridal Shower." Is it because for one day the bride-to-be can get a party all for herself? Is it because the bride-to-be gets showered with gifts? Or could it be that in the soon-to-be future forcast shows a storm a-coming because marriage is the metaphor?

Well, whatever the reason I must say that my Bridal Shower was perfect. Stephanie, Dayna and Erin put together a fabulous party for me. All the decorations matched my wedding colors and Dayna placed pictures of Tuck and me around the room. There was a guest sign-in where guests wrote their well wishes on aprons, one for Tuck and one for me. The food was catered by Sharky's, which has yummy organic Mexican food. Belinda Oborn not only helped set up all the decorations, she also made these wonderful mini bunt cakes that were in my wedding colors. Before I could open the mound of gifts I had to answer questions that were also asked of Tucker to see how well we knew each other. To my surprise Dayna had video taped Tucker the day before and his answers where prejected on the big screen for all to see. I believe I passed the test with flying colors. The day was perfect, I was surrounded by all my friends and family all of which I am so blessed to have in my life. Thank you to Steph, Dayna and Erin for truly throwing a wonderful Bridal Shower for me, I could not ask for better sisters(in-law) and mother (in-law).

Where the Palm Trees Sway

Aloha,

I want to give you all the details of our Honeymoon trip but that would be impossible. We did so many exciting, adventurous and relaxing things while we were in Maui.
After the 12 hour plane flight from LAX to Maui (we had a layover in Phoenix) the first rational decision that we made was to upgrade our car rental to a Jeep. Why not? When it was so fabulous to finally be driving on the road to our hotel that we had been looking at on maps for the last three months. We were greeted at the Hyatt in Ka'anapali with Leis and plenty of Alohas. They upgraded our room to an oceanfront deluxe suite for free and gave us a cute memory album as a honeymoon gift. The room was beautiful and the views were spectacular.


Some of my favorite adventures:

1. Hiking in the IAO Rainforest
2. Walking around Lahiana- shopping, eating (good fish), people watching, watching the Lahaina Annual Film Festival
3. Watching the sunsets together nightly
4. Driving down Highway 33 stopping at almost every spot to take pictures

5. Bicycling down Haleakela, Maui's volcano (We got up at 3:00 in the morning to see the sunrise at the top and biked down the volcano at high speeds, how invigorating.)
6. Going to the aquarium in Ma'alea Bay after eating a great breakfast in Paia

7. Snorkling- we snorkled at Kapalua Beach, Big Beach (Wailea Beach) and Black Rock, we brought our own snorkel gear which we took everywhere with us

8. Stopping along the Ka'anapali boardwalk to sit at the bars and watch the Olympics (awesome)

10 Things I Love About Maui:

1.) Sea Turtles

2.) the sun

3.) the sunsets

4.) the rainbows that sweep from one side of the mountain to the other

5.) the tasty fish (sorry no Salmon in Maui)

6.) Maui Tacos

7.) falling asleep every night to the waves crashing on the sand

8.) the mouth-watering pineapple

9.) there's no traffic and the Highways are always in view of the ocean

10.) how there can be so many shades of blue in the ocean
